The Motherboard1 is a typical implementation for achieving two channels of 400Wrms into 4 ohm with high performance audio.
It shows examples of how to build buffers for receiving signals through long cables (by increasing the common mode impedance to 20kohm) and for supervising supply rails and temperature. It also adds a delay for startup and thermal shutdown.
One of the two channels is phase shifted on the input and output in order to consume a symmetric amount of energy from the positive and negative rails. This both improves the efficiency and eliminates rail pumping.
